Default New Table Saw

what do you think...

this is my buddy Frank, when I first started out getting my tools together he gave me a brand new bench top drill press so in return I made him this truck.
and today he gave me this new 4 inch table saw which will come in handy when I make one of those tractors UKscroller was showing us the other day......

I sure wish I had this saw when I was building my miniture houses...

G'day Trout,
That looks like a useful tool.
I wouldn't use one that size much, but it would come in handy some times.
Have fun with it and count fingers after each use

I understand those smaller saws are great for marquetry/inlay.

I am interested to know what you think of that saw. I looked at it in the HF store, and wondered if it had guts enough to much more than a popsicle stick. Run it through the paces, and be sure to give a review on it. Maybe rip a few planks of 8/4 white oak with it!!! Dale

Default 4" Dremel

I've had a 4" Dremel table saw for years. While I don't use it that much, I've found it extremely handy for small work. ie. cutting spacers for 3D scroll saw plaques, ripping small pieces for specialty items etc. I've cut hardwood as thick as 3/4", but that can be very slow going. I bought a couple of good carbide blades for mine and that helps. Wouldn't be without it!

Love that truck!!!
Keep us posted on how that saw works out for you, I could see a few aplications for a saw on that scale.

I've definitely had my eye on that saw as there is a HF distributor in our town. I think of how many times I needed to size down 1/4" oak plywood and had to lug out my 10" saw. I'm very curious to see how this one performs, especially in the tear-out department.
