| Graphics Software & Blade Usage Two questions always seem to arise from new members: what software is available to help make patterns and what kind of blade should be used. The software issue was recently raised again and I volunteered to put together a list. In that same thread was the suggestion to post blade usage, too.
Bob stated he'd make it a sticky but I'm asking for feedback on the software list before he does that. The blade usage file is simply Olson's blade guide. The software file is what I put together. |

| Mike, I think you pretty much covered everything. All else is pretty much personal opinion. |

| Great stuff Mike .
You could also add Paint.net to your list, available free from http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html

| Your list of graphics software is very good. One more suggestion in addition to Gill's would be Advanced Drawing, or advdraw.exe which is bundled with The Print Shop. It's a very basic, but very good program to create vector images and save as wmf or emf files. It can also be used to edit those files.

| Which ore or two of these software programs is the most preferred by most scroll saw users? I already have Corel Draw 10 and have wondered whether or not to upgrade, or get one or two other programs to compliment the Corel program.
Thanks,
John |
