Default New tool for the shop

for the last couple days I have been looking for a new project, Mrs.Trout asked about the rocking horse that I said I was going to make for Caleb....
so last night I ordered a rocking horse pattern from Cherry Tree and I got to thinking that cutting the 44 inch rockers might be difficult to cut on the scroll saw so I went out and bought me an early fathers day present....

My new Craftsman 10 inch bandsaw....

Congratulations, Trout! I can't wait to see the rocking horse! I need a lathe, and my birthday is coming up. j/k

Miamw, a lath has crossed my mind a time or two too...
my problem is that I don't have any more room in my shop....

some of you might remember back in March I was thinking about a new scroll saw and was looking at the Hawk G-4 and at that time the saw was $1,299..
Well, Tony from Hawk has kept in touch with me and has offered me several deals since then and can you belive he called today and offered me a brand new Hawk G-4 with everything for $900....

sure he wants to sell me a saw, but you couldn't ask for a nicer guy to talk too....

Trout your clean shop brings tears of joy, it's nice to know I'm not the only one with issues.

On topic...nice band saw, that is a champ of a toy, I wish mine looked so well.

Well Mia, if you happen to get two lathes for your birthday, you can just send the extra one my way.

Trout
Nice toy good luck with it. When you are done with the horse we expect to see lots of band saw boxes.

Mia,
STAY AWAY from the lathe, you think scrolling is addictive.
I went to the dark side a couple of months ago. It is now impossible for me to drive by a piece of tree limb or wood pile without checking it out first.
I picked up a used JET 1236 from a club member that was upgrading for $250.
