Please, can anyone help? I have a Delta 40-650 Q3 scroll saw. The blower came apart at one of the elbows and so I popped it back in place. After doing so, it wouldn't come on when I turned it on. I checked the fuse and went to check the brushes and the cap on the brush holder broke with pieces lodged in the threads of the brush holder. I tried to remove these pieces and damaged the threads. I do have new brush holders which for some reason I ordered when I first got the thing and also ordered brushes. I wondered if anyone knows how to remove and replace the brush holders, then I can get back to my original problem and try and find out why the machine won't come on. I don't want to cause any more damage by trying to get the brush holder out without knowing how. Thanks, Dee |

Unfortunately I couldn't find anything about that in your manual or the parts list.

That is Ric Hutcheson's favorite saw.. Maybe you can find something about that in his site. If not you can contact him from his email address or his phone number there. scrollsaws.com W.Y.

Dee, Sorry this is so late but gardening got in the way of scrolling. I also have Q3 but have never had to replace the brushes. My expanded parts list shows a bellows and a valve under the base cover. Maybe the valve is bad. I would also automatically replace the 4 amp fuse. Sometimes they look good when they are really bad. I have had good luck calling Deltas Memphis Tennessee Customer Service Center at 1-800-223-7278. They are friendly and helpful and are available weekdays fro 7am to 6pm central time. Good luck
