Default Hegner scroll saw problem

I have had a call from a guy who has the big Hegner (Not sure of the model - Multimax, I think it's called, with the extra deep throat). He is complaining about vibration, eventhough he has it bolted down to the stand and is using it on a sturdy floor surface. I have not experienced this problem with my model Hegner - has anyone had this problem and/or know what the cause of it may be?

I said I'd try and find out, so any input is appreciated, thanks!

The Hegner I use isn't the same as his so the fact that I haven't experienced the same problem probably doesn't count for much. It would be interesting to know if the saw is a new one, how long he's had it and if it's been working fine but just recently begun to vibrate. If it's old, it could be that it needs servicing.

Sorry - not much help .

All I can suggest is that he removes the saw from the stand and runs it on a concrete floor. If he still gets vibration, he should speak to Hegner. Vibration on a new Hegner should be minimal.
