Unhappy Just when I started having fun....

For some darn reason the belt on my delta p-20 broke today. It was a real no strain situation. I was cutting out Willie Nelson , outta 1/4 inch BB. I was moving slow, saw was humming along. I did two or three itty bitty inch long cuts, and on the third cut when I lifted my foot off the gas, I heard a little thwack, kinda like flicking your finger on a desk top..LOL I rethreaded the blade for the next cut, gave it the gas, and found I was in neutral gear.LOL After much head scratching, I look over and notice that the drive belt is splayed out across the pullies. No burn on the belt , no twist , no chunks missing, just plain broke ! Guess I'll call Delta in the morning , and then sit around and watch the humming birds in the yard for a week or so.. oh and yes, I do believe I'll order a couple of spare belts. Drat ! ...Larry

P.S. The sole intention of this rant is to gain the sympathy I have yet to recieve from my bride. LOL

Jeff you will have to change your sign off to "Smoke drink and scroll resposibly"

Larry you could try using supper glue to fix the belt. We use it to make our own custom "O" rings all the time.
