After reading the post on 'trouble with my DW788' you may want to either wait or open it in the store and fire it up first. Sounds like there may be a bad bunch out there.

Go for it! 8 minutes just about equals immediate satisfaction! You probably aren't going to get a better price, unless you get a refurb...but no light or stand. I got mu Type 2 from Grizzly for about $485 w/shipping. I got it in 2 days and have had none of the dreaded problems others have reported. Adopt the Nike attitude and "Just Do It!" John
