Default Looking for Delta 40-601 information

Hello all
I'm new to the forum and just purchased a 1987 Delta scroll saw model # 40-601. I snagged it for a $100 and it came with a mobile base. Saw looks to be in very good condition with no rust or broken parts. I was wondering if anyone has the same saw and is there anything I should look into on the saw before I start using it? I know its 20 years old and the gentleman that sold it to me says he used it maybe 150 hours over the years. Is there anything I should take apart and inspect?? And, what happens if the speed control goes bad? Is there any parts available to fix it? Thanks,

Jack

Welcome tot he forum. Here is a link to Delta Tech Support for that saw, a bit of a troubleshooting list but it may be helpful.
