Has anyone seen or used these blades? http://www.roundhacksawblade.com/ I wonder if cutting them down to the proper length they would work in my scroll saw, they would come in handy especially when cutting thicker stock.

Yes they work very good. The ones you showed in the link provided are the same as these that a friend sent to me . He only sent me two but I have so far found it impossible to make the one I tried dull . But then it has only had about eight hours of cutting 1/2" red oak so I don't know how much longer it would last. I seldom use spirals but in this case I was making a large sign and a couple other large projects that I couldn't spin around in my saw with flat blades. The package shown is actually 40 years old so they have been around for quite a while. They actually leave less fuzzies than some brands of regular 5" spirals I have used. The ones shown here (below the package) were made as coping saw blades for use in a hand frame rather than the longer hacksaw blades like you showed but they worked very well when cut to 5" for my scroll saw. I would imagine you would get two out of one hacksaw blade. W.Y.

| ![]() Ozarkhillbilly, I cut this entire 16" X 20" picture from 1/4" oak plywood with just ONE of those blades. I got a bunch of them from my brother-in-law a while back. He found them in a machine shop that he worked in and were going to throw them out. I cut them down to 5" length and flattened the ends with a hammer on an anvil to fit my saw. Just wish I had some smaller sizes, they take almost a 1/8" kerf. Never seemed to get dull and they look exactly like the ones in your post. I see Bill beat me to it, those are the blades.
