Default My Entry for the 2012 Puzzle Parley Cutters' Exchange

22 cutters have signed up for the Cutters' Exchange at the 2012 Puzzle Parley to be held next month in Salem MA.

So I have just completed my 21 puzzles to exchange with the other cutters.

Each is cut from 1/4" Baltic birch plywood and is 6" in diameter with 151 pieces and comes in a plywood box with sliding lid. The image is cropped from Japanese wrapping paper, and since it is monochrome this will add to the difficulty.

Most of the puzzles have been cut with quite a bit of variety, but a few have very repetitive cuts which will add to the difficulty. The 2nd photo shows the back of an "easy" puzzle, while the 3rd photo shows a harder version.

If the 2010 Cutters' Exchange is anything to go on, some of the cutters will fail to produce their quota, so I should still have a few to sell at the Parley!

Very well done. I so wish I could afford to attend this year but just not in the cards for me. Perhaps in 2014...Have a blast and love your puzzle.

Beautiful puzzle, Ron.

I did receive an invitation to be part of the Cutter's Exchange this year, but unfortunately I opted out. I ambitiously reserved my room in Salem last winter, but we had some sudden life events occur a few months ago, and me attending the Parley at all has been up in the air. In any event, I realized that cutting 21 puzzles was definitely not going to happen. In fact, I have a nice piece of art for the "Whales and Witches" show and tell, but I don't think I'll have time to cut it.

I do think I'll be attending the Parely, however (Bob just sent me a reminder for my registration, so I better get it in! ). I look forward to hopefully seeing you again next month.
