Well, now that I have had some practice with puzzle cutting. I've thrown away all the puzzles that I cut from hardback. So now the puzzles are mounted on 5 ply. I also tried Carter's not-square outside. I like it much better. These are cut in the diagonal manner. I really appreciated Carter's articles in the latest SSWC magazine. It was really good to have the pictures. Thanks to everyone that has shared their experience at puzzling - I'm taking bits and pieces from everyone.

They look really good! All the years of woodworking I've never had the urge to gut puzzles, (other than kids) but with all the nice work you guys are doing lately, I may have to try one. Ray

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Ray - I'm not at all sure that I would have ever tried to cut puzzles except the the wonderful things I've seen/learn here on this forum. There is surely more to puzzling than I would have thought. They are fun. I started small with postcards.
