Default The Regrettable Puzzle

I've been out of workshop and off the forums for most of the summer ... all because of this stinkin' puzzle. I had what seemed like a good idea and it turned into a major burden. I actively avoided all things scroll saw because of this piece. It was mocking me from the workshop.

The fret work is based on a hot plate design from John Nelson (Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts, Holiday 2005). You can see more details about the puzzle on my website (Puzzle 46).

I've got a couple of more traditional puzzles lined up and I'm making a clock right now, so it's back to the workshop.

John

Hi, John. I bet you're not regretting it now, are you? I can tell a lot of work went into it, and that's something to be proud of. Looks really nice!

What a nightmare to assemble, though. You must have quite the mean streak!

Pretty cool John! I can't imagine the patience involved in cutting it.

Were you able to squeeze a Meeple into it anywhere, fellow Carcassonian?

No meeple but what I SHOULD have done is change one of the drop outs to a meeple shape. Next time ... except I don't imagine doing this again.
