Default Puzzles, Puzzles and more Puzzles.

G'day all,
these are not as complex as some of the experts cut, that we have on the board, but were fun.

Some I've posted pics of before.
The Cows, Rhino and Hippo's are new, so is the Dinosaur tray puzzle.
They are from Speilmans "Scroll Saw Puzzle Patterns.

Enjoy

Very nice selection. Are they pretty good sellers for you? What does the market bear in your neck of the woods in US? Just curious how prices vary around the globe.

Really nice John! I've always loved your painting technique. What finish did you use on the rhinos? It looks really smooth.

Great puzzles, John! That thar is a lot of meat!

I love the strategic location of the knot around the one cow's eye. Gives her character!

They are fabulous. I've done the cow and duck and a pig. How did you round over the edges? I used my Dremel with a round over bit, but it left a grove on the sides all the way around that had to be sanded off.

John,
do you use the roundover bit in your router after you cut the pieces for the puzzle or just after you cut out the main shape of the animal? Clear as mud?

Thanks

to give you an idea Mike a loaf of bread will set you back about $3.50, 2litres of mike about $4.00 and a block of 30 stubbies $32.00

Doug and Ray Thank you, I sand the Pine Puzzles with 80g,120g.180g and 240g, give them a blast of clear acrylic lacquer, cut back with 330g and apply a second coat.

I cut the outside of the puzzle, round over the edges with a 6mm (1/4") bearing guided roundover bit in the router table. Cut the interlocking pieces, then hit all edges with a 180g sanding mop.
