Default Traveling puzzle.

I made this puzzle as my first attempt a while ago. I gave it to my mother in law to try and asked that she pass it along. In side the box I included a note saying when it was created. I asked that anyone who assembled the puzzle to let me know what they thought and then pass it along to a friend.

I got a phone call last night...The puzzle started in East Wenatchee Washington.
It is now in Seattle after a brief stay in Post falls Idaho, and Couer d' Alene Idaho, Everett Washington and Marysville.

While in Seattle it found it's way to one of the senior centers. A sign up sheet was used to keep track of who checked out the puzzle.

65 people in the senior center so far have assembled the puzzle. Several have commented on it and asked for more. made my chest swell just a tiny bit. I'm so happy others are enjoying it and can't wait to see where all it travels.

Carter for the inspiration.

Guess I'll have to get busy.

This is the note inside the puzzle box..
I hope you enjoy trying my latest creation

Once you have satisfied your need to play with this puzzle, please return it to me or pass it along to some one in the family or a friend.

Try and keep the note with the puzzle so others may contact me and let me know they have it.

I would like to keep track of who all has tried solving the puzzle. It might be interesting to see where it travels.

Please contact me at wood-n-things@hotmail.com if you have given it a try, let me know what you think, and who you gave or sent it too.

If you are having a difficult time solving the puzzle let me know and I'll e-mail you a photo of the finished project as a key!

What a wonderful idea Mike! How many pieces of the puzzle are missing? Hee... Hee... You have had good luck with the puzzle so far. I wonder how an idea like that would work around here? I'm not feeling good about it. <sigh> I think the puzzle would make one stop and probably get lost!!! Maybe your next puzzle could have a GPS chip attached. No need for the email. It might be real interesting to follow the route! Nice job!!! This is something like flat Stanley. Cool.

G'day Mike,
What a bonzer idea mate.
It may have made your chest swell a little, but it does my heart good to know that there are honest people out there who just want to have a little fun and take the time to respond to your message.
Really really nice.

It re minds me of a missing garden gnome, here in Kal about 10 years ago.
Mr Gnome got swiped from someone's front yard, and about a month later a post card showed up at the bereaved owners home with a pic of Mr Gnome in front of some well known land mark and and a few words, like "having a great time".
This went on for about 6 months with a new post card arriving every so often from different destinations and then one day the owner opened the door and standing on the step was Mr gnome with a little suitcase and a box of souvenirs.
True story, cross my heart. If I recall correctly there was even a pic of the little fellow in the local rag

Thanks for the story, Mike. It's always nice to hear that people are enjoying the things we make.

Keep keeping those old (whoops,...elderly), (whoops,....distinguished) people happy!

What a great idea! And, the puzzle is quite nice to boot. Carter is one of my inspirational hero's here (also). I hope you will update this note or put a new note on the bulletin board from time to time to let us know how and where it travels.
