Here is a puzzle that I just completed. This photo is of the "Heber Creeper" a tourist train that is located in Heber City, Utah. The puzzle is about 8 inches by 10 inches and has 140 pieces. I cut this puzzle in a more traditional way of locking pieces. It is done on 1/4" Okoume plywood. The photo was printed on gloss photo grade paper on a HP photoprinter.

Looks good! Puzzles are something I don't have the patience to do. Yours are nice. Chris

Nice job, Bill... Chris, I guess I just don't understand how patience enters the picture. I go downstairs to the saw, cut 30 to 40 puzzle pieces in 20 minutes or so, then think of something better to do and leave it, perhaps coming back later in the day to cut a few more. Lo and behold, every few days a full-size puzzle is completed! To me, patience comes into play with all the other kinds of things people cut with scroll saws. I can't imagine all the machinations of disconnecting and connecting the blades for hundreds of fretwork cuts. Now THAT takes patience, in my view. ...and it doesn't interest me in the least. Have phun.........Carter |

G'day Bill, I like the photo. You have done a good job converting it into a puzzle. I don't think I'd ever be able to get it together with 140 pc's. I wouldn't have a hope with Carter's 300+ ones.

Nice puzzle. May I ask why you chose to make a grid? If you are cutting for the entertainment of cutting, why not try to confuse matters with other directions, such as perhaps a set of pieces 45 degrees off the actual puzzle. Let them wonder how they fit together. Tor
