Default self potrait pattern request

hi all .
i have been dabbling in gimp for a while now,trying too make a pattern
from this photo.unfortunatly i am finding it a lot harder than what i thaught it would be.so i think its time too hand it over too ye pros.
is there anyone who can help.its a photo of yours truly and my nearest and dearest.
