Nothing wrong with eye & hand, Sarah! Your pattern looks great. Computers can only help the artist. They can't create art on their own.

The only problems I see are that the inside of the gent on the left's eyes aren't connected and will drop out.

The computer can help you view floaters after you scan it in by doing a floodfill on the background (white). The areas which don't get coloured are at risk. This isn't perfect: some sections which are logically white are slightly grey in the jpg, so they don't fill even though they are connected. It's fairly easy to filter out these false positives by eye.
