Hi all, I am looking for a pattern of Jesus' face, smiling, looking upward. I have searched and searched and only find the downcast, suffering Jesus. I want the joyful victorious Jesus. I have a special project planned for my church. If you would like to, it's ok to email me: ernie84017@cox.net Thanks for your help! D |

I have seen black and white (pencil renderings) of "Jesus" playing with children and even holding a baby and He was smiling in all of them. Unfortunately they are copyrighted and cannot be used to make a pattern without permission. Here is another thought. Since no one knows what Jesus actually looked like, there are many pictures of Jewish men smiling who could be used to depict Jesus. I'm sure there are even some in the public domain. Convert them to grayscale (black and white) and have a ball making your very own pattern. Tell you what...let me look around for a picture that is not copyrighted. Maybe together we can figure something out. Be talking to you. Bubba

Thanks for the head up, Bubba. The mods removed the post Bubba is referring to. Bob

I had previously contacted Christine Kerrick and she refused permission to use her design. I also contacted an artist named Ralph Kozac from Michigan if memory serves me correctly) and received no reply from him. Good luck with your search and let us know if you find a copy that is alllowed to be used because, as you can see, there has been prior interest in this subject. God Bless! Spirithorse |
