Default Binders?

Does anyone know where I can get a pattern for making binders like scrapbook binders? Looking to pay if I have to. I have a few people wanting me to make them but I don't know how to go about making the spine. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There was a gal on the old afsp site. Who made a bunch of them. I have not seen her log on here though. I know she got the screw spacers (post with a screw head on it) from Michael's, and I believe she made the actual binder the same size as a scrap book which you can get the dimensions with a tape measure. I'm pretty sure she ended up after trial and error using 1/4" stock with the best success.

I think she made hers so that they had a small (about 1 1/2" wide) slat that was adhered to the rest of the book with an iron on hemming material, so that when you open the binder it did not get bound up. Sort of like a hinge. Most I have seen are about 12 x 12 in over all dimension.

As I recall the post was countersunk front and back and pierced the cover, unlike the leather bound scrap books which are hidden inside the book.

I hope that helps you a little.

G'day Sherri,
Evie has made some nice photo albums that would probably do the same thing. PM her and I'm sure she would only be to glad to help out.

I was going to buy one online as a take-apart and learn piece, but then I looked at the prices...yikes! They are mighty fine looking scrapbooks. I may just send Evie a PM and see what she has used as a pattern. Thanks for the quick replies.
