Sue is right, that's just too small to do anything. A suggestion. Looks like you scanned the photo but didn't crop it. Most scanners allow you to frame the area to scan. Try scanning it from the waist up and shoot for the photo to be close to the max 780pix. Try that and the pattern should be do-able.
