Default John Basilone GySgt USMC KIA Iwo Jima 1945

Anyone willing to work on this project? Gysgt John Basilone earned the Congressional Medal of Honor on Guadacanal and the Navy Cross on Iwo Jima.

He was killed on Iwo Jima.

John Basilone is a legend in the Marine Corps along with Dan Daley, Chesty Puller, Smedley Butler and Mitchell Paige. I hope to do portraits of all my Marine Corps heroes. In todays society everyone is idolizing entertainment stars and sports stars that couldn't hold a candle to these legends.
