Default Improvement of a low-resolution image?

If I have a low-resolution picture and want to make a silhouette of how do I do to make the picture bigger without it bursting? Is there a program or feature that you can get help from then?

Thus, in order to enlarge the image for a larger silhouette

Try Inkscape, the line doesn't pixilate when it enlarges.....does take tracing the outline, however. Jim-Mex has a very good tutorial on this program here in the forum. The program is a free download.

Hi Tobbe - the suggestion from Jan is a good one.

If you use any vector based illustration software you can import your original image at its original size and trace your silhouette at that same size no matter how small it is by simply magnifying your screen.

Once you have drawn your vector silhouette you can then resize it to however large you wish without losing any detail

My tutorials here will help to show how to draw lines and shapes and then trace an image and its easy to do

The alternative would be to use a software program like BenVista PhotoZoom Pro which can enlarge bitmap images directly without too much quality loss
