Default coyote stencil

Recently purchased coyote stencil and have done a few stencils with ok results. I watched the video on cd and one on utube but neither got really deep into usage of program, mostly basic stuff. I'm looking to do intarsia and segmentation work and am wondering if perhaps someone could give me a few pointers.

Thanks!
Kip

I WAITED patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,
And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear
And will trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:1-3

I haven't used the coyote stencil program but have used the "gimp" & "inskape" programs and have done some intarsia patterns with them. I would almost say the programs are pretty much the same that if you make your patterns without dividers as you would for basic scrolling it would become a segmentation which in turn would also work for intarsia. I'll say that if you ask TJ Brown on here, he's got a lot of experience on intarsa, but I've done a few the way I have mentioned. Now I haven't cut any of them so as far as saying they are perfect, couldn't tell you, but wouldn't see why they wouldn't, basically the patterns look like a puzzle and then I just add colors for the different types of wood for the intarsia. Hope this helps you.

Thumbs up Coyote Stencil

Coyote is a brilliant program and easy to use. The learning curve can be completed after just one photo reduced to a stencil.

I do dog portraits with mine. As for using it for Intarsia ... No not the right program for that sort of work.

Coyote is definatley for cut out work, with amazing results in short time.

I totally recommend the program.

My first cuttings with the program:
