Hi all, Thanks for all the nice comments on the previous thread. I'm very glad to be back in shape to do the show. Since I never saw the kidney stone, I was not able to put it into one of the bunny dishes for an incentive. LOL ![]() Yes, the show is in a casino, Janette, but it has drawn a pretty decent crowd. The show fills up the big ballroom at one end of the casino and the advertising is really good this year. Having a variety is most definitely the key to sales! Items we didn't think would sell, did. Things we just "knew" would be snapped up are still on the tables. Crazy! My intarsia magnets were one of the best items. I ended up taking the moose magnet off my own fridge and sold it too. LOL RV keyholders were good sellers also. Bunny dishes.......all still on the table. SIL's fretwork portraits with custom frames.....still all there. My cute mini clocks.......all still on the table, too. Segmentation swan, fish, unicorns......still there. SIL's cute trinket boxes.....sold one.Plaques that have been in inventory over a year....sold them all! We made about the same $$ as yesterday, and this is profit, since we made the booth rent and license fees yesterday. So, overall, even if we didn't make a whole lot of $$, we made enough to make it worthwhile, plus did some good networking, too. I have a commission to cut some clever little Southwest scene puzzles for another vendor who has a store up in Oatman, AZ. Tourists flock there and buy all kinds of western stuff to take home. The vendor brought the puzzle to me today to see if I could cut some for her. Sure can! ![]() Tomorrow is the last day of the show and it runs from 9-5. Sundays have been pretty slow at other shows, but who knows, we might be surprised. LOL Final chapter tomorrow night. Nancy in AZ

Great, Nancy!. Yup, you never know what will sell. Remember if there were any items that you sold all of and be sure to make them next year. Bout the real first show I did, I had 5 of these angels. They sold in the first 15 min. and people kept coming asking for them, so there after I always took 20 to the shows and would always sell them all. I miss those days. Fran |

Keep having a good time, Nancy -- and don't give the casino ALL of your profits.

JimS--it's been a good show, nice setup, pleasant people. Fran--I will most definitely make lots more magnets. They always sell, but this time they really were a hit. MJim--Believe it or not, I haven't touched a slot machine........yet. Maybe tomorrow, after we pack up the booth, we might drop a dollar or two to try our luck. LOL

Sounds like the show is a winner for you Nancy.....don't spend all your money on the slots. I remember years ago we were doing shows and one town in Eastern Washington had a show we would do every year....one item sticks out in my mind that we sold out of every year...didn't matter how many we would take, we would sell out.... It was a router sign on a steak to stick in the garden that said "Grow Dammit" Then it sold for $10 and was a good money maker for us...this town had more churches than any other town we had been in. In our animal sign business magnets are our top seller....I know it's because of the pricing, but as long as they sell it's OK with us since they don't take long to make.

Larry--your "Grow Dammit" garden signs are a good idea for the next spring show I do. Thanks for telling me about them. I plan to expand my magnet inventory significantly with a larger variety of subjects to lure the customers. WD--Yes, a busy week all over the place! All good times, too. ![]() DW--Although we didn't make a lot of $$, it was enjoyable and we made some new friends, too.
