I see. What I do in a situation like this is to print out pattern then scan it into computer, import to MS word and size as needed and reprint. Works well for me but of course you need a scanner. This is how I manipulate most patterns I want to resize. Hope this helps.

Rolf, I have a fair on the 14th but as it sits right now the 15th is open. I'm hoping I can hop on the fairy and head over that day. Kip, There's a couple of large fairs in VA Beach, I know it's not too far from the NC border. I believe there's one in May and one in November. I'm also usually down there for a week every year for the 4th of July at my brother's house (he lives in Hampton).

That certainly will put a smile on the fairy

O.K. Kip here we go. So let me see if I have all the facts here. 1. You stated you would "Probably not" heed my advice this time. 2. I'm a (former) sign guy and know what I’m talking about. I have also done 16 shows so far this year and have another 5 to do before I finish out the year. (Total of 14 outside shows 7 indoor) That in itself should earn me a merit badge. 3.You want to put up a 2 X 10 banner in “frequently get strong winds” that will act as a sail in the “frequently get strong winds” adding even more lift to your ....let me guess E-Z Up Pop from Wal Mart that is in fact a big sail in itself. 4. You want to put 4 lines of text on this said banner so it is "readable as possible at long distances"? That is not "readable" banner at all!! And just what is it your trying to say with this banner anyway??? How far away from the show is your booth????? 5.And your question is there a “method to my madness?” Let just say when a pro such (as myself) both in signs doing art and craft festivals, passes out free advice. Its not madness. Its been there don’t that my man!!! And you should take that advice run with it, saving yourself and the people around you a lot of pain, suffering and what’s the word I'm looking for???????????? MONEY!!!!!! Can I get an AMEN??? From someone please????? Or am I off base here???? Hmmmmmm… I don’t think I am. AMEN!! Thanks for reading. Good night! |

Ummm Jim...LOL ... I probably should not go here but ![]() Seriously, your reason is because you once made signs, do shows, and you feel like you deserve a merit badge and "you said so". A valid reason is still very elusive in your response. Just because "you said so" is NOT a valid reason. Your condescending attitude is rather offensive and as far as your "free advice" is concerned, I definately got what I paid for. In the future feel free to skip my posts if this is going to be your attitude. That said...Have a nice day! Lord Bless

I hate when this happens on the forum, since any useful advice gets lost in the hard feelings. |

We have had great advice in this thread. Lets keep it that way please...Unfortunately the written word is often misinterpreted in forums and e-mails.. There is no body language nor tone of voice. I do not believe Kip was intending any dis-respect with his wording--- more tongue in cheek. Jim, your advice is appreciated, however.... Nuf said...
