Default What is it worth?

I just moved to a new house and the moving company lost a box of woodcraft that I had made before. One of the item is Intartia project (picture attached) will like to know if anybody has an idea as to what it is worth. Need an amount for the claim to the moving company.

pete,
its only worth what you think its worth.
if you made it and hang it on a wall, you would say, yeah its worth so &so.
if the piece has sintemental value too you its worth alot more.
so its hard too say what value too place on it realy.
consider time spent making the pieces, cost of wood, wear and tear on machinery, finish etc.sorry we cant help, hope you get your claim sorted.
love the pieces btw

Just guessing here, I would put those in the ~$100 a piece range. Tough to tell how many pieces are in them. If you recall, I would take the number of pieces times $5 and that's the worth I would stick on them. At least you could replace the wood and make them again for that much (maybe).

Looks like about $600.00 bucks to me.Don't forget they are one of a kind!!! Thats what people are saying when they say made by hand. (O.O.A.K. One Of A Kind)
Now if you can get $100,000 for them take that offer first!!

Wow, that's gotta hurt. Don't forget to pad you final amount, just for the pain of loss. And I agree, at least $100 each.

Not to throw a wrench into the works;BUT--- The insurance company will try to tell you that since you made them the will only cover the cost of the supply's. Don't buy it. Or on the other hand you can tell them that you purchased them for "X" number of dollars.
Good luck (I think that insurance companys are like politicians but that's a story for another day)

Good luck
