Hi all, This is my first posting and I've seen some great ideas in this forum. Anyway, I've been scrolling for about 3 years off and on. I'm getting close to retirement and have been thinking about opening a small scroll shop in my hometown. I vision giving beginners lessons, selling and repairing saws, and providing a consignment outlet for my fellow club members. I know I'm not going to make a bunch, but this would get me out of the house. Any thoughts??? Hot Toddy |

If the rents reasonable on the premises, and you can afford to pay it, go for it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I wish you luck and most of all lots of fun.

good luck on your venture todd,i have considered trying too make a bit of a bussiness myself in scrolling,i do a lot of potrait work, but i find it slow going and unfortunatly being unemployed it would be foolish to rely on it soley.luckily your circumstances are toatly different,so i would say go for it and good luck...
