Default From miniature to full size

Today when I took the miniature coffin jewelry box i posted in the scroller galery here, to work . I was taking a break and our secretary came up with a question that took me by surprise. she ask if I would build her a coffin for her future trip to the other side , when ever that day comes , she stated she wanted me to do inlays and overlays into the design also. I replied it was to early in the morning for a joke like that. To my surprise she pulls out her check book and handed me a blank check and told me to fill in the amount and I could start when ever i wanted to...Guess what ..I felt crazy on my break while I was jotting down her.... height, width, and all. She did mention that way she could see what most people don,t get to see while they are living... But anyway this is a first project of this sort for me ........

Here is a link that might be helpful
Build your own coffin
I admire people that accept a challenge outside of their comfort zone but I wouldn't be caught dead building a coffin (sorry, just couldn't resist).

I think Lee Valley and Rockler carry accessory parts for them. She's planning ahead - which is a good thing but what will she do with it until the time comes to jump in? Storage? Guess you could store blankets and linens in it. It would make a heck of a conversation piece. Then you never know, you may just find yourself with a new business once others see it.

I ask where she will store it , and she stated that until she uses it ( ha ha ), that she is going to use it as a coffee table in her living room, that way her mother _in_ law, won,t come over as much as she does now........its hard to keep a straight face when some one tells you this, but hey she,s the customer, and they are always right.........

G'day CJ,
A good commission although a bit weird.
Just make sure you nail the bottom on good, you wouldn't want any accidents

Now that's a horse of a different color; but, to each his(her) own the farmer said as he kissed the cow.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ yikes!

I think I would have to take the "NOT" option on that one.

Also if I had my way about it. When I die, just put me in a plastic bag. And bury me. Funeral's are for the living.
