Default Question for Web Site owners.

I just made a discovery that the shipping cost on my websites shopping cart are not the same as I have it set up to be. I cant figure out if it is Pay Pal or my web host that causing it. I checked with the web host and was informed that they do not support the shopping cart. But it is the only one offered on my web host developer. I can not figure out Pay Pal. As far as I can tell I have to set up an inventory list with pay pal also. Do I need to mantain two data bases? Just wondering? Thought I would see if any one else has this problem.

I just read what I posted. Did it make sense to any of you all. I am lost, confused, homesick, seasick, scared, and in the dark.............help!

Hey Pete, I see you changed your site. The updates looks good.

I have a question regarding your check out process. Do you accept charge cards or is everything via mail? I just set up my website and accept payment thru paypal which also allows me to process charge cards and do automated checking account transactions. The customers don't have to have a paypal account. Of course this comes with a price of around 3% of total sale but so do all charge card transactions. There are no monthly fees. You only pay when used.

That being said I made buttons in paypal then copied and pasted to my pages. In the button making process the shipping info is entered and automatically added to orders.

Don't know if this helps any (okay probably not) but I hated to see you scared, confused,...etc. and not respond

Take care!

I WAITED patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,
And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear
And will trust in the Lord.

Thanks Kip. But I got it figured out. The shipping cost is set by Pay Pal regardless to what my site host has set. Pay Pal over rides it. So thanks again I have it fixed now.

Hope this helps others that may have this problem. I should have paid more attention to PayPal setup instructions. That's what I get for shooting first and reading later.

Now I can get back to the fun of scrolling .............

Well this was very informative Pete... I intend to use Paypal soon for my own site. I know now that I'd best read really well.
Thanks,
