I'm wondering if anyone has made a display wall for craft shows. I'm thinking lattice. It should be light weight and foldable. I'm finaly gearing up to do my first shows and could use any help you might be able to provide. Thanks,

I started with lattice and it works ok. The biggest problem I found is that the wood pieces blend into it and they're not showcased as nicely as they could be. Here's a link to my booth at the last show we did. Yahoo! Groups: Groups Error It looks like the fancy expensive pro panel walls you can buy but we used marine grade carpeting and 2x2 frames. Very light weight and they work well. |

Sorry. It works for me but I guess it's because I'm a member. Here's the picture. webBoothNWFW2009.jpg |

Wow Janette! - now that's a nice display - plenty of space to show each piece and a really great background colour. Maybe one day I'll be robbing that idea

Jim, A lot depends upon what you want to showcase. Personally I made five panels that are 2' x 6' accordian hinged together. I made the frame with 1 x 2 pine stock and put 1/2" hardware cloth over the frame. Hardware cloth is the wire mesh with 1/2" square holes - you can get this at most hardware stores, home centers (Home Depot & Lowes), and even at many agricultural stores. The five sections together fit perfectly along one side of my tent and are very light weight. If I was going to make new ones I would probally make each one at 23" instead of 23" Sorry no pics. Janette nice display area. I only have one suggestion you might try and find someone to lend you some intarsia so you have some variety....LOL Great display and the work of course is magnificent. Do you ever take a saw along and demo? I see a tall chair on the side and thought perhaps you had a saw there.

I made mine out of 1 X 2's. They're 6' high and each panel is 2' wide. I attach 2 panels via hinges to each other. I attached the cross pieces via lap joints and use zip-ties to attache the lattice. The whole thing folds down nice and flat. I've attached some pics of my booth to give you an idea of what it looks like. The shelf plans are in this thread.

| Intarsia Moderator | No, unfortunately, I don't have enough space in the van to take a saw and supplies along. It's a pretty tight fit as it is with just our booth and stock. Usually we have a 10 x 10 and the panels are pairs with hinges and a couple singles so we can be flexible with the set up depending on the space.
