Thumbs down

I once helped a friends son build a wooden sailboat to race. They put them in lengths of flooded gutter and used a fan. The thing sank like a rock!!!

Ahh, the pinewood derby cars!! I did help a boy build his about 3 years ago. He had no fatherfigure, so I was adopted as his big brother. He did the cutting on it, and sanding, and painting (with assistance of course), and I did the weighting, as I could take it to work and use the postal scale to get it right on. His car finished 5th out of about 70 cars, and although I thought he did great, he was still very disappointed. He has the idea if he doesnt win first place, hes a failure. But, I enjoyed the time with him, and he enjoyed the time with me, so it all worked out. Dale
