| Free issue/subscription delay On 9/20, I filled out an online subscription form, indicating that I wanted the free issue of SSW&C. Since then, I have been awaiting my first copy.
So today, one month later, I receive.....
a reply card asking if I'm interested in getting a free copy of the magazine!
I mean, didn't I say so already??? Well, I sent it in, grateful I hadn't tossed it with the rest of the flotsam I get. Hopefully my 2nd show of interest in SSW&C was redundant and I'll receive a magazine soon.

| I hope so too, Pete. You're almost guaranteed to like it. I think that is why they take the risk of sending out a freebie. I hope they crossed in the mail. Sandy |

| I'm thinking they dragged their feet so they could chisel another $5.99 out of me for a back copy of the issue with the article about making boxes.

| Pete, I don't know how they divide the labor around there (at FC), but I believe that almost everybody there has been in on the flurry of activity to get ready for what sounded like a really snazzy open house. In the middle of that, I think they had another magazine deadline. So they can probably be forgiven. I hope you get your issue soon. Sandy |

| Oh, I know it's not exactly Time-Warner. That's why I used the :P smilie before.
Just feeding back, 'tis all, like the sign says.
Maybe if I carp enough, they'll just SEND me a copy of the dagnabbed box issue.
And a couple more smilies for the road...
Smily Pete :P
P.S. Just learned that there's a limit of 4 smilies per post! |

| Pete, have you considered buying that scrollsaw workshop collectors set? Its a little thing next to that free issue offer over there ----> . Thats a far better deal then my subscription was for those issues. Once they sell out of those, you will never be able to get em again!! Good luck on getting your boxmaking issue! Dale |

| Pete.....Send me an email with your address. I have an extra (unused) copy of the Holiday Issue I'll send you for free. That might tide you over until your free subscription issue arrives!!

| That IS a good deal, Dale. Geez, even issue #1 is in there! I probably should, but the issue I really want isn't in there.
I just ordered #24. Realistically, I signed up too late for that to be the freebie.

| Some due thanks Thank you, Neal, for your kind offer.
Thank you, Rob S. of Fox Chapel, for the followup message I received confirming my order.

| Pete don't be discouraged -- it took months for my subscription to get to me -and I still haven't recieved my free patterns. But it will come.. and just think of all the stuff you will have to work on-- that means you will have to work extra hard cause you will want to make everything..lol
