Default Subscription offer in your mail

Hi Gang,
We recently sent out some direct mail materials to people trying to increase our magazine subscriptions. We have a service that is supposed to remove all of the current subscribers from the list of people who get the direct mail materials.

We're getting word that subscribers are getting these materials. If you get the material, can you e-mail Shannon (shannon@foxchapelpublishing.com) the following information:

1. Your name
2. Your address
3. The number above your name (on the return piece) that starts with the letter D

Thanks!

Best regards,
Bob Duncan

Thanks Bob. I was going to call today but sent Shannon the e-mail as you suggested. To err is human, to really foul up requires a computer.

I was confused (which does not take much!). Will E-mail Shannon - but can I give the card to someone else if they are interested? I always like bringing the issues I have to shows to show other people the cool things that can be made..except for one person (luckyscroller) I have yet to meet anyone in my area who has discovered scrolling. I was also wondering if we get a "this is your last issue" notice..would hate to miss out on any of them

Turns out the guy who did the de-duping misunderstood the instructions and only ran the lists against people who subscribed within the last 12 months (instead of ALL active subscribers). Between Woodcarving Illustrated and Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts, we mailed out 8,000 cards to people who already subscribe. (UGH!) But the are going to make good and reimburse us for the expense of printing and mailing those extra 8,000 cards...

The cards have a 7 digit code that is linked to the address printed on the card. So even if you scratch out your address and enter a different one, the data entry people will just enter that code and the magazine will be sent to the address originally printed on the card.

If you know someone who would like to review a FREE issue of the magazine, they can request one here: Free Issue Offer - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts

Or call toll-free: 888-840-8590, and request a TRIAL subscription.

They'll get the first issue free, then they'll get an invoice - they can either pay the invoice to get a regular subscription, or they can write cancel on the invoice and return it - they won't receive future notices if they write cancel.

Oh - and yes... You should definitely receive notices when you are due to renew your subscription. They start coming when you have two issues left... And the fourth notice has a big headline that says: "Renew today - Your LAST issue is in the mail now" That fourth notice mails about the same time as the last issue on your subscription. You get two more notices after that... but best to reply sooner so delivery of your issue is not delayed!
