Hi Shannon and Bob, I figured I'd ask this here so others who may have the same question can see the answer. If my sub ends with the spring issue, when do I need to renew by to ensure uninterrupted deliveries? Thanks!

I would suggest renewing right now of course! Seriously though... The spring issue is set to mail to subscribers Dec. 21. The labels for the summer issue are due at the printer March 12 (mails March 23). You need to allow time for your renewal to be entered and processed prior to when the labels are pulled... Technically, if your renewal arrives by March 1, you should be fine... but that might be cutting it a little close. A good rule of thumb would be to renew when you receive your last issue. When you receive the spring issue - send in your renewal. (You should receive the spring by Feb. 1.) HOWEVER.... We are trying a new incentive to get folks to renew from their FIRST renewal notice. If you renew from the FIRST notice we send you - we'll give you a $2 discount. This saves us all the expense of processing, printing, paper, and postage that is involved in sending you additional renewal notices. The discounted price is not offered on any other renewal notices - only the first notice. So I encourage you to renew early - and treat yourself to a cup of coffee with your savings! |

Hi, Shannon. Would it be possible to post the mailing dates somewhere, so those folks who need to know can just look it up. I know it would be just fine if everyone would renew when they should, but, many forget when their subscription expires. I think it is real simple & should not be a question. Thanks Perk |

Hi, Shannon. Since the magazine is only quarterly, have you ever considered offering a 3-year (12-issue) subscription? Maybe give an extra free Special Holiday issue, or provide a financial incentive (by charging, say $ 50-55 for a three-year subscription, just off the top of my head)?

I don't know when my subscription is renewable but if I renew now will I still get the savings?

I'll take the saving for sure and I would go for a three year subscription. Although I do look forward to getting a nice special goody every two years. Diane

the issue that your subscription expires with is printed right above your name on your address label.... It should say something like spring 10 (spring issue of 2010)..... the mail dates change slightly from year to year... Check on the editor's column page.... On the very bottom of that long list of info on the right, there is an identification statement... it list the months the magazine is published: January, April, July & October. Specifically for 2010 - subscriber mail dates are: Spring: Dec. 21 Summer: Mar. 23 Fall: Jun. 22 Holiday: Sep. 21 The 2010 Holiday special is slated to mail Aug. 10 (free with 2-year sub) - we'll start advertising this in a few months... |

We have discussed a 3-year option... Nothing concrete yet. I think that discount of $2 is linked to the code on the first renewal letter... so an "advance renewal" sent in before you receive your first notice would not automatically get the discount. (sorry - bug I should work out - but it's not high on my towering to-do list...) |
