It was neat to see this post this morning because from a historical point of view, it really represented the early stages of my rewarding scrolling experiences. I had just started scrolling and began carving on the fretwork, both new hobbies for me. This was my first picnic and I was inspired by the work of others, especially Al's clock and John's tiger. Winning a second place ribbon in Fretwork Complex for my Jaguar's was very encouraging for a novice. Obtained my first copy of Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts magazine at this show. Finally, I would recommend that all scrollers attend a picnic if afforded the chance...it can definitely be inspiring!!! Last edited by Dick-Miraglia; 09-09-2009 at 04:50 PM. |
