Default Well ... It Arrived!

After looking for the postie every day and reading about the mag from those of you who have already made most of the stuff in it ... it arrived today.

Most of it wasn't a surprise (thanks, guys), but I was excited anyway. I found the fox in a record time for me and have had a look through.

The highlights: I love the skeletons, will probably cut a couple of those out almost immediately, the ribbons and bows box, I will may utilise the ribbons and bows on something - the leaf inlays gave some really useful practical advice, as did the fretwork carving. I have seen
similar "rough" frames to Steve's, but without the added blowtorch and I liked the "finishing-box" idea - it will save having to wait for a "dust free day". I will certainly make the lichterbogen - I was gonna invent my own, but why re-invent the wheel when there is one there already? I also found the piece on marquetry interesting, I bought some veneers at a woodworking show, I may get around to it one day. And finally, as I was amongst the 22% "ehs" on scrollsaw maintenance, my Hegner may just get a glimpse of an oildcan.

All in all, it was worth the wait! Thank you.

Sue,

Now that you've had the magazine a while, how come we don't see any pictures of your completed projects? This is no time to kick back and take it easy, get moving on those would you?

Sue,

I was getting my copy of the Magazine at Home Depot, now they quit carrying it, guess it's subscription time.

We sure are looking forward to the pictures, tomorrow maybe?

I haven't had a chance to read it yet, just flicked through. Looks like there is some good stuff in it.

I found the fox and used the on-line form. Never got a reply, though, like when I use my own email program.
