| Shannon, I find it hard to find falt in the magazines, so I can't help there. as far as Marquetry, I don't do it. I think it is so beautifull, and somday I might try it. but personaly I love fretwork,
the Elk intasia was great. if I do try a differant wood working stile, it will be intasia. I just love the demention of intasia, and fretwork.
I loved seeing steavies frames , and how he makes them, I will surly give that a try. we all need frames. and those are the greatest .
I am still disecting the magazine, so I will let you know more later. keep up the good work, your friend Evie
Oh forgot to add, I am glad to see patterns like Charlie Dearings , in the issues. they give more of a chalandg to us fretters. Thanks

| I will definitely be making some skeletons for family and friends this year. But my favorite project in this issue has to be the Ribbon Box. Will there be anymore from the project design contest in future issues?

And yes - the special Holiday issue will be available on newsstands - scheduled to mail to subscribers in mid-August and be on newsstands in early September. |

| I enjoyed the marquetry article and would like to see perhaps a more in depth piece on it.
Anything that requires "starting with a tablesaw" gets put on the bottom for me tho- I don't go near those puppies!...I LIKE my fingers!!
Loved the ribbons and bows box- beautiful piece and clear instructions - ditto on the rooster napkin holder. Useful items are always good!
Watermelon carving was interesting although, to me- not part of scrolling. It was a good idea pointing out the use for those patterns in scrolling. Patterns can come from anywhere- stained glass, coloring books - you name it.
Kathy's elk is beautiful, Steven's picture frame is outstanding.
Interesting idea for scroll saw stand... but where do your feet go?
Anyhow- that's my 2 cents! Great edition as always. |

| For the saw stand, Gary puts his feet on the lower support ball (at least he did in some of the photos we couldn't fit in the article.

| I thought this was a great issue. My favorite is the Skeletons as well. I'll be making 2 or 3 of those for sure. I liked the napkin holder. I really like the projects that 2 patterns one for intarsia and one for fretwork like that napkin holder. I know SSW&C has had a few articles where that has been done and to me that is fantastic. It's interesting to see the same project in 2 different styles and gives readers the ability to choose which way they want to go with it.
Other projects that I like are the Winter Woodland Arch, the Coasters, and the Old West Portraits. Seems like there are plenty of projects to tickle everyone's fancy. And quite a few useful ones as well.

| Congratulations SSW&C,
Congratulations on producing a great magazine. ![Food Smiley 004[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/food-smiley-004[1].gif) I have been subscribing for near a year now and have found the patterns, along with helpful hints very helpful.
Because I live in Australia I haven't as yet received the latest, but am eagerly checking the mail. I have cheated and had a good look at the webpages posted.

| My favorite part of the magazine is finding it in the mailbox.
