| G'day all,
Just read the article and visited the websites. Great feel good story and one that give inspiration.
My young bloke, 16yrs, has Autism (Aspergers Syndrome) and although not as bad as the two men in article, still provides plenty of concern regarding his future when I'm gone.
He's a special kid, Special trouble, special needs and special love |

| Wow, what an inspiring article. It gives me hope for my 19yo who also has autism.
My son has cut out a few things on the scroll saw and definitly has some potential. Never really thought of it as a possibility of a career for him. I think I'll have to encourage him to use my saw more.
Thanks for sharing this family's story.

| Hi all,
Autism is something that is very sad and hits a lot of families. I teach school and deal with several autistic children. I also have a niece and a nephew with autism. They are not teenagers yet.
Scrollsawing would be a great skill for some autism children; depending on the severity of the autism. Computers are great for autistic children; but like I said depending on the severity.
Still waiting for my Magazine.

| That was a great article! I just got married and now have two wonderful step-children, so I've been learning more and more about the depth and compassion of a father's love. That made the story all that much more special to me.

| As a father of a son on the Autism Spectrum this article really hit home. Jim Warren has demonstrated the selfless love of a father and this article is a fine tribute to his dedication to both of his sons and their abilities. I hope to be able to nuture my son as well as he has both of his, it's not easy and each day can be a challenge; but knowing the success of the Warrens really helps.
This article reminded me that for Christmas I bought my son Danny Downs "Make your own model Dinosaur" to get him interested in the scrollsaw. Unfortunately life has gotten in the way since then on so many levels and the book was put away on his bookshelf. After reading this it's my number one priority to get the book off the shelf and get my son involved. Thanks for the inspiration Jim!
Don
