Fantastic magazine, I love it! I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss an issue. I only wish that it came out more often... Continue

So...Wood is classified as a scrolling magazine????????????????? Odd, I dont think of it that way, but yes, occasionally they do have a scroll project in there. Another one I dont consider a scrolling magazine is Woodworkers journal, which had a great Judy Gale intarsia highchair project in it a few years ago. Its one of those projects I saw and felt like I wanted to build it for no reason other than I liked it. The magazine sat for three years before I finally started it.The chair is almost halfway done now, and looking pretty good, but between my schedule, and being stuck on one part, I havent made much progress on it lately. So if Wood counts, I better add that to my vote. Dale

True scrolling mags 2 I subscribe to both. I also get Wood and now wood turning design.
It seems that many times I pick up a magazine and absolutly love it, subscribe, and from that point forward the content is dissapointing. Thank goodness SSWC has never done that to me.
I also check out Fine woodworking at the library and buy it if it has something I like.

Just this one. I refused to renew to CWWC after the copyright infringement issues with one of their writers last year.

Since I am new to scrolling, I have subscribed primarily to woodworking magazines (3) Wood, Woodcraft, Popular woodworking. I also scan the magazine rack at the grocery store while shopping there. That's Where I picked up my three issues of Woodworks & Crafts. I have a lot of patterns from these issues to keep me busy sawing for awhile Thanks.

Not too sure about the purpose of the poll. I subscribe to both SS mags and some other woodworking ones. Perhaps a better poll would be to list all the ww mags and ask which ones we subscribe to.

Default Other scrolling magazines

There used to be one from England that had some really neat patterns but sadly about 5 years ago they folded and dissapeared. I just received my CWWC and was highly upset that the patterns are not that exciting (this time).

I subscribe to both US scrolling magazines and would agree with Larry, the UK scrolling mag was great but, unfortunately, didn't last - in fact it didn't last for the full subscription and I received "Doll House" magazines for the last couple of issues. I do have, and still buy, lots of books, too. However, I do not have the amount of time I would like to dedicate to scrolling and could certainly learn more from doing rather than from reading.. I suppose the books and magazines are always there to refer to when I am about to do something, although I have used ideas, I haven't made much from any of the magazines, they act as catalysts and keep me up to date as much as anything.
