I do a quick scan through everything, decide I want to make half of it, scan through one more time and add a couple more items to my "wish I had time" list, then, pull the centre out and actually scan most of the patterns into the computer. Then I start reading. After reading I print off a few patterns and add them to all the ones I printed last month but still have not got to.

(I can't wait until it warms up and I don't have to heat the garage 40 minutes or so before I can get out there (and then I am still wearing a heavy jacket). By the time it is warm, I have run out of the extra time I had to play.)

First I leap through to see what looks like a fun project to do first. Then I read it from cover to cover looking for the fox as I go.

Well, living in Oz, and being upside down, I flick through it from the back first.
If any thing jumps out at me, I'll read it there and then.
It's then a fight between me, leaving the Mag. out and the Missus putting it away.
I like to read it when having a break for a coffee etc, so it usually stays out and about for about a week, until I've read every word, except for the times it gets filed away

Quick run through front to back and then more in depth front to back on including ads for about a week or two until my wife files it in the magazine bin she bought me to hold them all! Eventually I'll cut some but I too have a garage that's unheated and bitter cold. I'm just hoping that groundhog was wrong and it starts warming up soon.

I first always read what Shannons got to say, then flip through the whole issue, then back through more closely at the projects I like, and/or projects from people I know, either ones I have met, or other members from here. Then usualy Linda takes it for fox hunting.Once shes done, I finally get a chance to read it, and look for the fox myself, and no, she wont ever tell me where the lil thing is! I scan through checking out the projects then go back and start looking for the fox. I repeat the looking part until I am frustrated or find the fox...
Then when it it bed time I take the magazine with me and start doing some serious reading. Shannon's editorial and all other pages right through to the end.

I look at all the projects first, then read the articles, then review all the ads. I keep forgetting to look for the fox - get distracted by the projects and planning in my head which one to do next! I wish it was a monthly magazine, except then I'd never get anything done other than fill up the "next project to do box".

I flip through it when I get it out of the mail box then set it aside. When evening comes I get a glass of wine and sit by the fire (In winter) and read it cover to cover. Then I go back and make a to do list of the projects that have caught my interest.

EDIT: I might add that after I file them when done I go back about twice a year and go through them all again looking for something that interests me to make.
