| Blade feeding preference Here's a poll for the upcoming issue.
Do you usually feed from the top or bottom.

| Bottom feeding is all I've ever known. I hope to be upgrading soon to the DW788 so I can finally give top feeding a try.

| top feed I started scrolling approximately 15 years ago with a Hawk 220vs. It was strictly a bottom feeder, and I did not mind since I was younger and there were very few options for top feeders at that time. Recently I got a EX-21 and a Hawk G4 and now almost always top feed. It did not take long to get used to top feeding and it saves a considerable amount of time. Not only that, it is much easier not having to try and find the small drilled hole on the bottom of a large project.

| Even with The Excalibur EX21 I still bottom feed. Just cant seem to get the hang of top feeding. But being able to lift the top arm is a giant PLUS ![013[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/013[1].gif)

| I guess I'm a bottom feeder...if it means that you release the blade top and feed the top of the blade through the bottom-then reattach the top.

| I started out as a bottom feeder when I owned a Dremel, but since stepping up to a DeWalt and getting past the short learning curve of coming from the top, I can't imagine ever doing it any other way but come from the top.

| Actually I am no good at doing it either way! LOL half the time I have to completely remove the blade and re-insert it. Not very good at hitting the hole in my wood or in the table top with the zero clearence hole I have in my piece of wood covering the table top. Need to practice a bit more I guess. But I do feed from the top even doing it this way. |

| Sorry Janette..You are correct. If you feed the blade up from the bottom, you bottom feed. If you feed from the top down, you top feed!
Thanks everyone!
