Bill just cuts out the letters individually, and glues them in place...he has the patience to do it letter by letter.

With the marriage certificate...the pattern he used was normal size. He did not enlarge that pattern at all...which makes is work even more impressive. He just uses a photocopy of the pattern at 100% to cut it out.

Default Favorite project in Fall '07 issue

Hi Shannon:
Walt Rollison here, in the Smoky Mountain area. Heck, I'm still working on the Spring issue, and my favorite project in there is the "Victorian Birdhouse."
Since we have so much white oak at our Sevier County Senior Center, I have cut four of them out of it and three out of local aromatic cedar.
The cedar birdhouses omitted the scrollwork and the snazzy paint job, but they are still good looking. My wife Louise and I primed all the oak models two coats and today started painting them. As you know, if you've used this pattern, there is a lot of masking and a lot of decorative painting in completing this birdhouse. Besides the painting, I guess cutting out those windows has been the hardest part, but it's still fun. Thanks for a neat magazine, and I do enjoy looking at all the different projects, even if I don't make all of them.
Best regards, Walt Rollison.

Hey Merle, I guess you got one of the issues like mine. I don't have a fox in mine either. David
