Default Sue Mey's fretwork clock SSW&C 28

I really like the fretwork clock Sue created for the latest issue. I like the fact that you can use it to embellish a number of other projects...versitility is a big thing for me when it comes to designs!

What do you all think?

Here's the article:

I would love to enlarge the pattern and make it of MDF. Then I would like to give it an antique brass patina.
This would make a huge clock that would be the focal point of a room.
It would even be good to paint the center of the larger clock with crackle paint to give it an antique finish.

I like it too, although don't have my mag yet. I wish I had this pattern when I was just starting. It does seem to be something a newbie could tackle and have the sense of accomplishment after completion. I also agree with Carl whereas the project would look great from wood or another material. Nice job, Sue!

Thanks you guys and Mia

It will also look good cut from thin brass plate and attached to a nice wood disc, maybe oak. The clock hands should be a matching brass color.

I like this clock really well. I've never done fretwork, just intarsia, but this one I think I would like to try. It's very classy and not "too" many holes
Thanks, it's a really nice pattern!

I like it as well, in fact the pattern is sitting right on my computer table in front of me. It's the next project on my list and when completed it will be donated to the Prader Willy, walk for a cure, for their silent auction.
Thanks Sue for a really nice project.

I like that it is what is says, "Elegant" without being a real difficult piece. Actually not so much difficult, I don't find fretwork difficult. Let me say it is "Elegant" without being all time consuming. I don't care to do projects that take so much time that I sit there and wonder, is this thing going to be worth it when I'm done? This pattern says, "I'm going to look like I was hard to do and took a long time." When in reality, fairly simple and moderate in time.
