Hey everyone,
What do you think of the Airplane Whirligig article we've got in the upcoming issue.

Here's a sneak peak:

I have never made a whirlgig, but always wanted one, maybe this article will get me going on one.
It looks great to me.

As with anything painted like this, I avoid (generally). Now, if you could supply a paint overlay code. Something that we could trace over with carbon paper so we can (stay with in the lines when paiting) and that we can be accurate. I'd be all over it.

We tried to do just that with the article (you can see where to put the marking) and even gave color markings that you can print out on the new slide transfer paper they make for inkjet and laser printers...it's basicaly like the decals you get in model car kits...

Anyone tried them? We got a few samples here at the office and they work great. Let me see if I can find the source...

Here's the link to the decal paper
http://www.beldecal.com/inkjet_decals.cfm

Our Art Director, Troy Thorne, loves it! He's in the process of writing a book on Pine Wood Derby Car deisgns (cool designs, not necessarily for speed) and tried out the decals and loved them!!!
