Here is my version of the pencil puzzle. I made a few nail puzzles for practice before trying the pencil puzzle. I learned a few things on the nails that helped with the pencil. It is interesting and fun to see the reaction people have when they see them. Everyone wants to know how it is done but that is something I will not tell.

These are way cool.

And I was so off in my assessment of the method used I'm almost embarassed

I imagine you can make the nail ones small enough to carry in your pocket, or whatever, maybe mini ones with small nails & small holes. We could start doing something similar to Carter and his stamp puzzles, just for the "phun" of it

I'll probably have to make a few at some point, just because I love bugging people by making them scratch their head and going "What the hell?? How did he do that???" And then not giving them the solution (I encourage intelligence)

Thanks to whomever started this on the forum (can't remember right now)
it's turning into something we can have fun with.

Actually Grizz - Hints to the secret were given in another thread. Make ya work for it now. I gotta get out to the shop and make a few for upcoming B-Days. I don't turn or I'd do the apple/arrow. Thats neat also.

Marcel, I do have a small one that I do carry around in my pocket. I didn't make it for that reason, it was just the first one I made to see if it would work. It is real "phun" to go into BORG or other such store and drive the associates in there nuts with it. Sometimes I ask them if they have a flexible bit to drill the holes in it. Some of them think I am serious.

I had about 5 or 6 employees in BORG standing around trying to figure it out in stead of helping customers. Maybe that's why I can't get anyone to help me when I go in there, they are somewhere playing games or something.
