Default Belated Christmas Wish and Early Happy New Year

Oh yea another medication induced thing below...lol

=============================

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even my spouse.

So off to the workshop I did go,
Thinking I could turn, before she would know.

The tools were there all clean and ready,
The drill bits were nestled all snug and steady.

The blanks of wood were stacked with care,
All in hopes that I would soon be there.

Visions of turning danced in my head, while I put on my cap,
My wife settled down for a long nights nap.

Turned on the lights, it was bright as the sun,
Ahhhhhhh I said, this is fun.

So now in the shop there arose such a clatter,
That mamma sprang from her bed to see what was the matter.

So down to the shop she flew like a flash,
Tore open the door and broke off the sash.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment, it wasn’t St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles her coursers they came,
she whistled and shouted, and called me some names

Now, dummy! now, idiot! Now, husband of mine,
Of all things to de doing at this time

To the top of the stairs, to the top of the wall!
Now dash away out of here ! dash away! dash away all!

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
I presented her what I had made round.

A wink of her eye and a twist of her head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread

We shut down the tools and turned off the lights,
But we heard from the shop ere we got out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
