| Virus Ok, guys, I just sent Bob D an email. I was on my computer for 2 hours this morning, after I was in here for about 15 minutes I picked up another virus (Dale, notice I said virus!!). I don't know if I'm giving the virus or getting it. I will run a complete scan on my computer and suggest you do the same.
Betty

| Betty, I do hope you realize I am a nutcase , and I am just having fun with you. Nobody likes a Trojan, and yes, a virus can be deadly without proper treatment. Our comp is set to automatically scan the full system every Friday afternoon, and the updates whenever we shut down. I can have no trouble with any of that stuff for a long long time, then one of the kids uses this comp, and things start gettin messed up. I will run a scan tonight though.
one more thing........ Linda didnt slap me when I let her read that thread!!! Aint I lucky??? ale |

Betty, thanks for the heads up. |

| Thanks Betty-- I had wondered where I had gotten the virus from and then when I had NOT been anywhere but here and got anudder one-- Whew-- Sure do make me glad the comp repair man is a good friend of my son --lol-- being old and decrepid Does have its advantages..
PS the last repair only cost me $12. for a new ether card and what I sent to buy my shop stuff-- now if I get anudder virus does this mean we have all been having unsafe forplay in here??

| Yes Dale, I know you are only kidding. I can take kidding and give as well!! Ok, I got hit with another virus when I signed on this morning and I was the only one here yesterday, just this site and my Avon site. I do hope Bob or Robb are checking this out since I am not the only getting the virus. I guess I'll have to talk to Linda, Dale.
Betty

| Bob: THANK YOU!! The virus I am getting is a Trojan (no comments, please, Dale and the rest have already made enough) Puper.DL; Trojan Generic; Downloader Generic. My antivirus picked one up while I was in here just a few minutes ago. I'm not saying it's coming from your site, but something is going on. And I can't blame my son as he hasn't been on here since Saturday!! I'll call you later about the picture uploading!!

| Hi Betty,
I've scanned the whole board and found no trojans or viruses. Did you run a complete scan of your hard drive? If so, please provide any more details. Specifically, what file the virus/trojan was attached to. In addition, what were you doing on the message board when the antivirus picked up the trojan.... Posting a picture, viewing a page, searching, etc... |
