| My past 24 hours Man, what a lousy past 24 hours! We had a tornado pass thru our town and the neighboring town where my Mom lives yesterday afternoon, alot of damage, no power untill an hour ago, and now it gets personal, my mom and 92 year old Aunt were caught in the twister driving back from a Dr. visit! The driver side glass was blown out and yes my mom and Aunt were cut by flying glass and debris along with the car being pushed as my mom described it into a ditch. I took the day off from work to help in clean up of the town, I really am always impressed with the local communities pitching in to help at times like this.
A good side note here, I got to buy a new toy, a portable generator so I could keep my Mom's house in electricity till they got the town's power back.
Now a rotten side note, when I went to go and pick my Mom's car up from the tow service lot, somebody had stolen the radio and battery out of it!
The good,the bad, and ugly!
I'm tired and going to bed.............

| Wow, that is a tough 24 hours. I sure hope your mother and aunt weren't too cut up. It's nice to know the majority of the public are good people but there is always 1 bad apple on every tree. |

| Thank goodness everyone pulled through okay. It's sickening that some individuals will exploit these situations but it still sounds as if there are plenty of decent community-spirited people around.

| Bill,
I'm sorry to hear about that. At least all survived. It's amazing the levels some folks will sink to in disasters.

| Hey Bill,
So sorry to hear about your Mom and Aunt,I am glad they are ok.
It says a lot about your character for taking time off the job to help with the cleanup.
Take care,

| Glad to hear that they are OK.
Even better to hear that everyone is chipping in work to help those less fortunate,
Best thing......people who do rotten deeds make thier own heaven, and it won't be the one that the good people go to.
Take care Bill. all the good folk are behind you

| The tornados and constant wind is the main reason I moved back home to Oregon away from Kansas. ![003[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/003[1].gif) Now I have very little wind and no tornados and it only rains once a years (for nine months) ![036[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/036[1].gif)
