| Fed Up! Would someone please post a picture of some really ugly or poorly done work I am running out of words to complement the exceptional work that everyone on this site keeps doing.

| I've got lots to pick from, but don't have a digital camera. Darn the luck! Sorry I can't help you.

| Actually that's a great idea Rolf
We could do a series of pictures of what can go wrong, along with information on why it did and what to do to correct it.
Maybe we could get pictures from thick skinned people who do not mind the criticism.
If some of the more experienced scrollers did the work it may help some of the newbies to know we all started at the same level.
By the way, we still make mistakes we just dont show people

| All I have to do is take a picture of my scrap wood box, it has several rejects where things went wrong. It wasn't "MY" fault it was the scroll saw's fault.
One of these days my scroll saw will get it RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Bad gaps in intarsia Here is an intarsia called O'Happy days that I threw away because of the gaps between the parts. The glue set before I could get the pieces together. A neighbor swiped it out of the scrap barrel and liked it. And she stills likes it.

| I would have pulled him out too. He's adorable and I think it's a great job.

| Stickers Hi Rolf-- Didn't you know that we are the only ones who can see the mistakes we make? And each piece is different even if it's the same pattern. I use my "mistakes" to teach me what I don't want to do on the next one. Doesn,t mean it happens. But it sure is fun to keep trying to be perfect. Besides my children told me not to discuss "my mistakes." So I guess I won't tell you how many mistakes I have made in the last 20 years. Woodworking stuff that is. |

| I have found, there is no bad projects, or work, only bad conseptions. I don't trow any of my projects away. only the judgments i had about them. Evie |

I like the way you think Evie. I do the same thing. It used to really bother me if someone didn't like something I had made. But I just figure it's their opinion. If I like it that's all that matters. The only time I'm concerned if someone likes something is if they actually pay me for a piece. Otherwise, I figure it's art and not everyone likes the same kind of art.
