I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the military, active, inactive & retired, that come into this room for your sacrifices in order that I might enjoy the freedoms I enjoy today. Although I am not from a military family I grew up with both my parents working at an army depot and the military was a large part of my life. I know first hand the sacrifices that are made, as I lost several friends during the Vietman War and I know the suffering their families went through. And for some of those that came back I know the nightmare still goes on for them. My own fiance served in a MASH unit and he came back in body but it took such a toll on his mind we weren't able to go on. My own father was a WW2 vet, serving at Normandy. He remained in the reserves until his untimely death at age 50 of a heart attack. He was on his last active duty reserve at the time, so therefore, my mother is able to have the full benefits of a military survivor. One of his pall bearers was a survivor of the nightmare called Anzio. My husband served during the Vietnam War. I could go on but I don't want to get mushy, I just want to thank all of you. And for those of you who don't agree with me and take objection to what I am saying, just remember the military gave you the freedom to disagree with me. And Bob, if I broke any rules I am sorry but I just felt I had to say to the wonderful men and women of the Armed Forces.

I don't see how anyone could have said it better! We all owe more than we are usually aware of to our military and their families. Sometimes we forget that freedom ain't free.

Betty, I couldn't agree more. I see no rules brocken here. I hate that there has to be wars at all. but i think, All benifit, all over the world, Are familys, and friends have paid a hudg price for all of us. I am so glad i have the freedom to set at my little saw, making things just for fun. I don't have to were a vail over my head. and I can speeck my mind, with out going in front of a fireing sqad. I can send my kidlets to a school of my choice, and worship in what ever way i wish. I have stores galore to buy food and clothing from, and have the right to grow my own food with out sharing it , unless i wish. I have the right to work what ever job i put my mind too. and can choose which bills i wish to make for my self. even though we all pay tax's, we have the right to change the laws if we put are minds to it. I do hate that some take advantage of the laws, to pick honest folks apart. but I still love, that I have the right to fight that too. I would like to add, If we wont are way of life to contenue. we should fight for it. or are familys did it for nothing.
I would like to thank all of those here in are country who still fight for are rights.
